Happy Summer, everyone!
We're having a wonderful time playing lots of shows outdoors. Sometimes
thunderstorms force us indoors, but mostly we've been lucky, playing in
the sun and watching everyone dancing in the grass and clapping on
blankets.
Besides
playing some fun shows and making new fans, we're spending time filming
videos for our first DVD release. A big favorite so far was shooting
the video for "Pirates" on a wonderful little schooner that sails out
of Annapolis Bay here in Maryland. The folks who own the Woodwind
were fans of our adult rock band Love Riot, and happily let their boat
be taken over by the band and kids dressed as pirates (acting like
them, too!). Look for the DVD sometime before the end of 2007.
Those of you
flying on Southwest Airlines during the month of July might recognize
the big picture of Lisa while leafing through a copy of the airline's
SPIRIT magazine. The editors asked Lisa to write about her thoughts on
Milkshake and life in general. They gave Lisa a new title: "The mother
of all child-friendly bands."
The last big piece of news is that all our Milkshake CDs will now be
distributed by Ryko Distribution. This means that beginning in August,
you can actually buy Milkshake music pretty much everywhere, in places
like Borders, Barnes & Noble and the record store down the street.
And of course, you can still buy music (and other Milkshake stuff), at our own wonderful web store.
